How a Life fully Lived led me exactly

To where I was meant To Be

I was born in Aurora, Colorado — connected from the beginning to the communities that make this state so special.

At 17 I earned my GED, an early lesson I've carried ever since — that setbacks can become stepping stones if you're willing to keep moving. At 18 I started selling Tupperware, my first real taste of entrepreneurship and the beginning of a lifelong interest in business and helping others build their futures.

By 29 I had completed my degree in Finance and Accounting at Metropolitan State University of Denver. With a natural talent for numbers I began my career in accounting, gaining valuable experience through several demanding tax seasons at Ernst & Young — where precision, integrity, and attention to detail became the foundation of everything that followed.

Through all of it I was raising two young children. That season of life was full and demanding and deeply meaningful. Their encouragement eventually led me to step away from corporate life to focus on family — a chapter that shaped everything I believe about home, stability, and the environments we create for the people we love.

During those years I explored several entrepreneurial ventures — always drawn to work that involved helping people think through their finances, their goals, and their futures. That restlessness eventually led me to Primerica, where I would spend the next 15 years.

I spent 15 years with Primerica as a licensed agent in life insurance and investments — work that taught me more about people and money than any classroom ever could.

I spent 15 years with Primerica as a licensed agent in life insurance and investments — work that taught me more about people and money than any classroom ever could.

That work became deeply personal in ways I hadn't anticipated. When my husband was diagnosed with cancer and passed away at just 49 years old, I experienced firsthand the real impact that financial preparation — and the absence of a trusted guide — can have on a family navigating grief. The life insurance benefit provided essential support. But making significant financial decisions while overwhelmed by loss, largely without someone steady beside me, was one of the hardest seasons of my life.

That experience changed me. It sparked a commitment I have never let go of — to make sure the people I serve never feel as alone as I did in those moments. To be the steady, knowledgeable, caring presence I needed and didn't have.

From that foundation I deepened my commitment to financial education — helping individuals and families build genuine confidence with money and make thoughtful decisions about their futures. I supported dozens of small business owners through coaching, networking, and mentoring. And from 2013 to 2015 I taught Ethics in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation at Metropolitan State University of Denver — courses I created myself, built around the belief that how we conduct ourselves in business is inseparable from who we are as people.

These experiences together shaped a belief I hold deeply: that clear, compassionate guidance during life's most important transitions can make all the difference. That belief eventually led me to real estate — where home, stability, and financial clarity come together in the most personal way possible.

Stepping into Real Estate

In 2018 my husband Jerry and I began exploring a possible relocation from our home in Littleton to Asheville, North Carolina. Our house sat on the market for several months — longer than we had expected — and during that time I developed a meaningful connection with our real estate agent. Watching her work, feeling supported through an uncertain process, something stirred in me that I had carried quietly since my early twenties — a sense that helping people navigate life transitions through real estate was work I was meant to do.

Although it was disappointing at the time, Jerry and I ultimately decided to take our home off the market and stay in Littleton. In hindsight that moment became one of the most important turning points of my life. Staying allowed us to reconnect with everything we loved about our community — the neighbors, the trails, the merchants, the sense of belonging we had built here over years. And it opened a door I walked through with everything I had.

In 2019 I committed fully to real estate. I immersed myself in learning the industry and within weeks was hosting open houses. What began as curiosity became a calling almost immediately. I found that every skill I had built across four decades — in accounting, in finance, in coaching, in teaching, in simply showing up for people in hard seasons — was exactly what this work required.

Today I find deep fulfillment guiding clients through the decisions surrounding buying and selling a home. Having navigated so many of life's transitions myself — loss, rebuilding, fresh starts, and unexpected turns — I understand in my bones how meaningful these moments are.

What once felt like a setback became an opportunity. That unexpected turn led me exactly where I was meant to be.
